Challenge

The Bold Crew was brought on board to help the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau reimagine and develop its first rebrand in over a decade.

Solution

To take an all encompassing approach to the rebrand. Through collaboration with the CVB and community stakeholders, a brand was developed to represent the area’s diverse amenities. The new brand identity included a refreshed logo, tagline, color palette, and typography.

The brand was designed to reflect the duality of Huntsville’s cutting-edge industries and stunning outdoor landscape. Recognizing the importance of agriculture, industry, and the environment, a versatile logo was created, suitable for tourism, travel, and civic applications.

Results

The new brand plays both an homage to Huntsville’s history while also embracing the future. From the iconic rocket silhouette, to the rolling hills of the Appalachian mountains, the new brand ties together the contrast of Huntsville’s high-tech industry and natural landscape.

Through a seamless combination of natural motifs with modern technological elements, the brand captures the essence of what makes our area unique. A versatile color palette ensures the brand appears modern and innovative across all applications.

The new tagline is an expression that carries multiple meanings. As a verb, “gravitate” implies being drawn to something, whether it’s a place, person, or idea. It evokes a sense of being irresistibly drawn to a place, highlighting Huntsville as a magnetic destination that offers a unique blend of science, art, innovation, and culture. It also honors Huntsville’s pivotal contributions to space exploration. This tagline invites visitors from all walks of life to experience our community.

This rebrand positions Huntsville as a smart, creative, and driven city with a deep sense of community, energy, and forward momentum.
